Samburesti Vineyard
The Samburesti vineyard is located in the southern part of Romania, positioned at 44°48″ north latitude and 24°48″ south longitude, about 30 km from the Dragasani vineyard. Its privileged position lies in the transition area between the Getic hills and the elongated hills of the southern Piedmont, formed in the Quaternary period by the Southern Carpathians. Unlike other vineyards in the Oltenia region, the Samburesti vineyard is primarily focused on red wine production.
View MapThe Samburesti vineyard includes three communes in the northern part of Olt county: Dobroteasa, Samburesti, and Vitomiresti. The vineyard is notable for the Bolindetu, Rosulesti, Petria, Vifura, and Grosarea hills, almost entirely covered with vineyards. In this area, the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot produces wines of outstanding quality. Vitomiresti hosts the Dejesti farm, with vineyards extending across the Vifura and Dejesti hills, providing optimal conditions for cultivating red varieties.
